Project Description

The Apple R&D Campus is computer software and hardware research and development campus which consists of six buildings.

In addition to office and workspaces, the campus houses a theater, dining facilities, and exhibition space. The project utilized a fast-track design and construction approach, with the added complication of coordinating one shell and core architect, and four different architects for the tenant improvements.

The budget parameter was to be cost-competitive and achieve industry standards, while maximizing the aesthetics and functionality of the spaces. Rudolph and Sletten and the architects were challenged to create a highly functional, yet stimulating space that would attract top-notch engineers and provide a unique work environment for Appleā€™s creative R&D staff.
