Project Description
The Chiron Life Sciences Center is a multi-phased corporate laboratory campus designed by signature architect Ricardo Legoretta of Mexico City with Flad & Associates of Madison, Wisconsin as the Architect of Record. Building 4 houses laboratories and offices, and Building 7A is the central utilities plant.
Building 4 houses approximately 500 scientific researchers and support staff in a unique six-story laboratory and office structure containing biological and chemical labs, corporate executive offices, open office space, conference rooms, administrative support and mechanical equipment space. The design is marked with vibrant colors, and a bright four-level open atrium. Modern, state-of-the art laboratories are flanked by individual offices which surround the central atrium and conference areas. The building’s atrium and glass-enclosed conference rooms serve as the focal point of the structure. Building 7A was designed as the first module of the large central plant.
