Rudolph and Sletten General Contractors announced that it has completed the “topping off” of structural steel for the Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and will finish construction of the nanotech research facility by the end of the year.

Rudolph and Sletten General Contractors announced the completion of the $17.5 million Barbara Morse Wackford Community and Aquatic Complex in Elk Grove, California. Rudolph and Sletten served as construction manager for the 43,000 square foot complex, owned by the Elk Grove Community Services District.

 Rudolph and Sletten completes renovation of Monterey Bay Aquarium, ads skywalk and 8,000 square feet of space
One of the Bay Area’s favorite destination spots got a facelift from Rudolph and Sletten General Contractors. The Monterey Bay Aquarium, which attracts 1.7 million visitors each year, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a $10 million makeover from Rudolph and Sletten that includes some 8,000 square feet of newly enclosed public space.

 Rudolph and Sletten named general contractor for the J. David Gladstone Institutes Biomedical Research Facility at Mission Bay
Rudolph and Sletten General Contractors announced that it is the general contractor for the J. David Gladstone Institutes’ new biomedical research facility. The $72 million building will be the first private biotech research facility built at Mission Bay, forming the cornerstone of the City’s planned “biotech corridor.” The six-story, un-bonded braced steel frame laboratory and administrative office is fast-tracked for completion in October 2004.

Rudolph and Sletten General Contractors announced the relocation and expansion of the company’s San Diego offices due to corporate growth. The new 12,000 square foot facility at 10955 Vista Sorrento Parkway is a build-out of existing shell space and features a products showcase.

 Rudolph and Sletten named general contractor for the renovation and expansion of Sacramento’s historic Crocker Art Museum
Rudolph and Sletten General Contractors announced that it has been selected as general contractor and construction manager for the $60 million renovation and expansion of the historic Crocker Art Museum. Located in downtown Sacramento, the Museum – donated to the city in 1885 by Margaret Crocker, widow of Central Pacific Railroad titan Judge E.B. Crocker – was the first art museum west of the Mississippi. Now in the preconstruction phase, the project is scheduled for groundbreaking in spring of 2006.

In his new capacity, Mr. Jones will continue to oversee the company’s San Diego office, which under his tenure has grown to be one of the largest contracting firms in the San Diego area.

 Rudolph and Sletten nears completion of Silicon Valley’s first regional center for music and arts education. Community School of Music and Arts, beloved 35-year-old non-profit in Mountain View, has first permanent home
Rudolph and Sletten General Contractors announced that it is nearing completion on construction of the new Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) in Mountain View, California. The 25,000 square foot center, devoted to teaching music and the visual arts to students of all ages and economic means, will be Silicon Valley’s first regional Center for Music and Arts Education.

 Rudolph and Sletten announces completion of phase two of the renovation of the historic California Theatre, new home of Opera San Jose
Rudolph and Sletten General Contractors, the construction manager for the renovation of San Jose’s landmark California Theatre, announced the completion of Phase Two of the building’s restoration and build out. The phase two build out includes construction of a new 105-foot tall multi-level stage house. The historic theatre originally opened in 1927, and was the first “movie palace” in downtown San Jose.

 Rudolph and Sletten completes corporate headquarters and research labs for Cell Genesys
Rudolph and Sletten General Contractors announced completion of the build-out for the new corporate headquarters and research laboratories for Cell Genesys (CEGE) in South San Francisco. Cell Genesys is a leader in the development of innovative gene therapy technologies to treat cancer. The new $32 million, 154,000 square foot building opened in April 2003, and houses more than 20 labs as well as offices and conference space.

Rudolph and Sletten General Contractors announced the completion of its work for COPIA: The American Center for Wine, Food and the Arts in Napa, California. The project was managed by Rudolph and Sletten’s Sacramento regional office, located in Roseville.
