RUDOLPH AND SLETTEN EXECUTIVE PROMOTIONS
FOSTER CITY, CA (February 4, 2005)—Rudolph and Sletten, Inc. General Contractors named two veteran managers to key operations posts and also announced a number of other promotions within its senior management staff in Northern and Southern California.
Rick Millitello has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations in Northern California and Martin Sisemore has been named Chief Operating Officer overseeing Operations in Southern California. Dennis Giles was named Chief Operating Officer of the San Diego office.
Three other veteran executives were promoted to Vice President. Mike Mohrman has been named Vice President of Estimating in the Foster City office. Mike Castillo and Lofton Moore have been named Vice President of Operations in Southern California, reflecting Rudolph and Sletten’s rapid growth within the Southern California market.
President and CEO Allen Rudolph said the promotions are a result of the overall growth that the company is experiencing and the need to expand the management structure to focus on that development.
“We are seeing Rudolph and Sletten transform into a large company with large regional divisions that provide a significant amount of the total business volume,” said Rudolph. “Typically, our projects are very high-tech and very complex. In order to continue to deliver the high level of services that our customers have come to know and expect from Rudolph and Sletten, we have made a number of key promotions. Our new corporate structure will enable us to continue to provide superior service to our customers as we continue to grow.”
Rick Millitello, who previously held the title of Vice President, was promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations in Northern California, covering the San Francisco Bay Area and the Sacramento branch region. In his new capacity, Mr. Millitello, will be responsible for the oversight of all projects in the Northern California area, as well as team development and business development.
“Rick understands the business of construction operations and the delicate balance of customer relations, employee relations, and profitability,” said Rudolph. He is very excited about the opportunities his new role will offer the company.”
During his career with Rudolph and Sletten, Mr. Millitello has managed a number of key projects, including the Stanford University Cancer Center; Cypress Medical Network, Ryan Ranch Outpatient Campus; Cell Genesys, Corporate Headquarters; Sun Microsystems, Santa Clara Campus; and Kaiser, Santa Teresa Emergency Department Expansion.
Martin Sisemore, who began his career with Rudolph and Sletten in 1983 has been promoted from Senior Vice President to Chief Operating Officer, Operations in Southern California. In that position, Mr. Sisemore will oversee the company’s offices in Irvine and San Diego. The Irvine and San Diego offices have over 250 full time employees, and Mr. Sisemore will supervise the rapid growth of the two offices, presiding over projects that have expanded to more than $300 million this year.
“Martin and his team have done an outstanding job of putting us on the map all over Southern California,” said Rudolph.
During his tenure with Rudolph and Sletten, Mr. Sisemore, a Registered Civil Engineer, has been involved with a number of key projects in Southern California, including the University of Southern California, Harlyne Norris Research Tower in Los Angeles; AMGEN, and the California Institute of Technology, The Broad Center for the Biological Sciences, Pasadena.
Senior Vice President Dennis Giles has been named the Chief Operating Officer of the rapidly growing San Diego Office. In his new position he will manage all the activities of the regional office, including overseeing the projects, supervising the project teams, and business development.
Mr. Giles, formerly Executive Vice President of Operations in Northern California, has overseen many key projects for Rudolph and Sletten, including the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Sun Microsystems’ Santa Clara Campus, Microsoft’s Silicon Valley Campus and the Pacific Shores Center, a $314 million project that included the construction of 13 buildings.
New Vice Presidents
Mike Mohrman has been selected to help manage the Company’s growing array of pre-construction services in Northern California, including budgeting, estimating, value analysis, and constructibility reviews. In this capacity he will serve as Vice President, Estimating in Foster City. Mr. Mohrman, formerly assistant chief estimator, will aid in overseeing a team of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical estimators who provide cost estimates and budgets for each project, and review construction documents throughout the course of the design. Mr. Mohrman, who joined Rudolph and Sletten in 1992, brings over 16 years of construction and estimating expertise to the project.
Two other Rudolph and Sletten veteran executives have been promoted to Vice President of Operations to manage the rapid expansion of the company’s Southern California business. Mike Castillo, promoted from Project Executive, has been with Rudolph and Sletten for 19 years. Mr. Castillo will be based in the Irvine office. In his previous roles for Rudolph and Sletten, Mr. Castillo served as project engineer, senior project engineer, manager, senior manager, and project executive.
As project executive, Mr. Castillo managed many major projects, including Sweetwater Union High School District; San Ysidro High School in San Diego; VERITAS Software Corporation in Milpitas, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View; and the University of Southern California Healthcare Consultation Center, Los Angeles.
Lofton Moore has been promoted from Project Executive to Vice President of Operations for Southern California. Mr. Moore joined Rudolph and Sletten in 1997. He will be based in the Irvine office. Mr. Moore is currently working on major health care projects including the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles; the City of Hope, Duarte; and Catholic Healthcare West, Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.
