Martin Sisemore
Martin Sisemore, President and Chief Executive Officer, is dedicated to continuing the Rudolph and Sletten tradition of quality and technological innovation. Under his leadership, Rudolph and Sletten has experience strong growth and diversification. Sisemore is a 24-year veteran at Rudolph and Sletten, and formerly served as Chief Operations Officer in Southern California, overseeing the Irvine and San Diego offices. He began his career at Rudolph and Sletten as a senior project engineer, and then held several more progressively responsible positions with the company, including senior project engineer, project manager, project executive, and Vice President of Operations for Southern California. A registered engineer, he graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Civil Engineering.
Mike Castillo
Mike Castillo is Vice President of Operations overseeing Rudolph and Sletten's busy Irvine office. Under Castillo's leadership, the Irvine office will do $240 million this year, with a backlog of $325 million for next year. Castillo joined Rudolph and Sletten in 1985 as a project engineer in the Bay Area office after graduating from San Jose State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. After moving up the ladder in the company, Castillo became a Vice President several years ago and relocated to the Southern California office. Today it is one of the company's most successful bases of operation, with some 70 employees.
Dan Dolinar
Dan Dolinar, Senior Vice President of Northern California Operations, manages the growing Roseville-Sacramento office. Dolinar is a 35-year veteran of the construction industry, graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Industrial Engineering and Psychology. During his construction career he has held a variety of positions, including carpenter, estimator, superintendent, project manager, and executive. Dolinar joined Rudolph and Sletten in 1994 and supervised the field construction of the Outer Bay building of the Monterey Bay Aquarium as his first project. During his tenure overseeing the Roseville office, it has expanded exponentially and has a billion dollar backlog, along with 80 plus employees.
Jim Evans
Jim Evans, Chief Financial Officer, joined Rudolph and Sletten ten years ago as a corporate controller. Today, he oversees all financial transactions of the company, and he has direct financial reporting responsibilities to the parent corporation, President, and Executive Committee. In addition to financial reporting, he supervises risk management, insurance procurement, and real estate acquisitions. Other responsibilities include oversight of Information Services and Human Resources Departments. Evans holds a B.S. degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and is a CPA. For over 25 years, Evans has been involved in the financial management of construction companies with the focus of making builders into business partners.
Joe Francini
Joe Francini, Senior Vice President and Chief Estimator, is a 28-year veteran of Rudolph and Sletten and has served as a member of the executive management team for over 15 years. His role in estimating is to oversee Northern California and assist in the overall estimating process company-wide. In addition to this role, Francini participates in the overall planning, budgeting, and implementation of the Rudolph and Sletten vision. Francini is a graduate of Arizona State University with a B.S. in Construction Management. After joining Rudolph and Slettein in 1978 as a project estimator, he rose through the ranks within the estimating department to Senior Vice President.
Dennis Giles
Dennis Giles, Executive Vice President and Chief of Operations for Rudolph and Sletten, is charged with oversight of construction of all projects statewide. This year alone, he will oversee $1 billion worth of construction, with a $3.5 billion backlog in the wings. Giles joined Rudolph and Sletten in 1980 as a project engineer. He was promoted to project manager, then project manager, and was named head of the operations department in 1992. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska, Omaha. Throughout his career, Giles has overseen many special construction projects; two of his favorites are the Stonestown Galleria Shopping Mall in San Francisco and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Bob Maxwell
Bob Maxwell, Vice President of Business Development, is responsible for all aspects of business development for corporate operations. Maxwell joined Rudolph and Sletten in 1997, and formerly served as Senior Business Development Executive for the company’s regional office in San Diego. At the San Diego regional office, Maxwell successfully presided over a dramatic increase in annual volume, from $26 million to a projected $320 million in 2006. Maxwell holds an MBA degree from Arizona State University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Before joining Rudolph and Sletten in 1996, he held a number of management positions in both private industry as well as the public sector.
Gary Walz
As part of the Senior Management Team, Gary Walz, Executive Vice President, oversees the company’s estimating department and manages the preconstruction services. Walz is a 29-year veteran of the company, joining Rudolph and Sletten in 1978 after serving as its first intern while attending Santa Clara University. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and is a registered civil engineer. Since joining the company, he has established a career path for estimators and has grown the estimating department to 50 people, continuing Ken Sletten’s vision to make preconstruction an essential element of the company’s success. During his tenure, he has held positions as a project engineer, project manager, estimator, senior estimator, assistant chief estimator, chief estimator, and vice president.
