FLSA: Exempt
Reports To: President and CEO
SUMMARY
The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for managing all facets of Corporate Communications at Rudolph and Sletten. This includes all forms of advertising, public relations, and corporate identity in general. The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for managing corporate communications employees (coordinator and assistant), as well as multiple vendor relationships.
Essential Job Functions (in 14)
- Manage Corporate Identity
- Manage and continuously improve the overall look and feel of all materials that represent our corporate culture and image. This includes managing the website, advertising, printed materials, promotional items, etc. Maintain and update related graphic standards manual as needed.
- Manage Advertising (Company Wide)
- Work with publication and organizational representatives to track advertising options and determine annual advertising schedule.
- Work with Corporate Communications Coordinator or designer as well as needed photographer(s) to coordinate preparation of artwork.
- Oversee advertising efforts for regional offices and assist in determining advertising content and developing advertisements for those offices.
- Manage Newsletters (Company Wide)
- Work with designer, photographers, regional office representatives, employees and clients to plan, design, edit, and produce quarterly client newsletter, “Hooked on Construction.”
- Work with outside vendor and employees to plan, design, edit, and produce quarterly employee newsletter, “R&S News.”
- Manage Public Relations (Company Wide)
- Work closely with PR firm(s) contracted by Rudolph and Sletten, Inc. to better promote company and continuously improve public perception of company.
- Maintain and continue to develop good relationships with editors of numerous publications to increase Rudolph and Sletten’s press coverage.
- Maintain department relations within company to ensure a positive understanding of the services Corporate Communications provides.
- Manage Marketing Materials (Company Wide)
- Manage and oversee development of all marketing materials (e.g. capabilities brochure, market segment brochures, post card mailers, etc.)
- Manage Completed Jobsite Photography
- Coordinate and update jobsite photography for Bay Area region as needed. This includes hiring photographers, purchasing professional photography, and overall maintenance of photography information and contracts.
- Oversee and coordinate professional photography purchases for regional offices as needed.
- Manage Client Events and Marketing Parties
- Manage, oversee, and/or coordinate these events as needed
- Manage Industry Award Submissions and Applications
- Manage department budget
- Prepare and track all budget information for department.
- Establish and maintain department budget goals and review regularly to ensure adherence to established goals.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of professionals capable of providing support for all aspects of corporate communications as needed by the company.
- Interface with all levels of business as well as upper management personnel.
- Provide leadership for cross functional projects and teams.
- Manage and Coordinate Miscellaneous Requests and Duties
- Design and manage ordering of annual floaty pens
- Design and manage ordering of annual belt buckle
- Design and manage ordering of holiday cards
- Manage holiday video coordination and implementation
- Miscellaneous duties that arise throughout the course of business
Required Skills
- Excellent communication, organization, leadership, time management, and solution skills.
- Must be able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently, adhering to established budgets and timelines.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the organization and external groups
- Must be a team player with the ability to identify issues and be proactive in driving solutions
- Must be able to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Must have proofreading and editing experience
- Must have experience working with various graphics software packages
- Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Quark Xpress, Macromedia Dreamweaver (or Microsoft Frontpage)
- Must have experience working with standard business productivity software
- Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access)

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
